HISTORY
Coordinator of Expansion Trevor Ayotte, Salem State ’17, began expansion efforts at Angelo State University in the fall semester of 2019. 49 men were initiated into the Kappa Theta Provisional Chapter on November 17th, 2019 by Assistant Director of Provisional Chapter Development Sam Franzoia, Chico State ’12, and brothers from the Provisional Chapter at St. Mary’s University. Also present was their Grand Chapter Advisor Cody Schmittinger, Whitewater ’12.

Kappa Theta officially chartered on Friday, October 1st, 2021. The Ceremony was held at the historic Cactus Hotel in San Angelo, Texas. Senior Director of Alumni Engagement & Chapter Operations Jeremy Ried, Elmhurst ‘07, gave the Keynote Address and presented the group with their charter. Coordinator of Chapter Operations Asher Rogers, Texas State ’16, represented Fraternity Staff. Chapter President Marshall Mayfield, Angelo State ’19, gave the State of the Fraternity Address. EJ Griffin, Angelo State ‘19, was the founding president and gave the Founding President’s Address.
