HISTORY

Coordinator of Expansion & Growth Ben Schuhle, Longwood ’18, began expansion efforts at the University of North Alabama in the fall semester of 2021. The Provisional Chapter was approved to charter by the Grand Council in April 2023.

Kappa Pi held its chartering ceremony on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Grand Senior President Steve Zizzo, Illinois ’84, gave the Keynote Address and presented the group with their charter. Speakers from the Chapter included VP of Standards Richie Yoder, North Alabama ’23, Founding Father Dakota Howard, North Alabama ’21, Founding Father and Past President Jaren Allen, North Alabama ’22, and President at the time of chartering Anthony Wilbanks, North Alabama ’21. Kade Gambill, Murray State ’18, represented Headquarters Staff at the ceremony. 

The Kappa Pi Charter rostered 37 names with initiation years ranging from 2021-2023.
