HISTORY
The Iota Iota Provisional Chapter at the University of North Dakota was started in the fall of 2017 by Coordinator of Expansion and Growth, Mike Carlo, Illinois State ‘13.

Fifty-three undergraduate men were initiated into the Iota Iota interest group in November of 2017. On January 12, 2018, the interest group participated in the Provisional Chapter Installation Ceremony. Nicolas Britton, North Dakota ‘17, was the Installing President. Justin Cooper, Presbyterian ‘13, represented Fraternity Staff.

The group chartered on October 20, 2018 and became the Iota Iota Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi. The Ceremony was held at “Banquets at the Boardwalk” in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Assistant Director of Expansion and Growth Mike Carlo, Illinois State ‘13, was the Installing Officer. Nicolas Britton, North Dakota ‘17, was the founding President. The Iota Iota Grand Chapter Advisor and father of the Chapter President, David Owings, was also in attendance and gave the Grand Chapter Advisor Address.

There were 61 names on the charter.
