HISTORY
Expansion efforts at California State University at Bakersfield began during the spring semester of 2017. Coordinator of Expansion Mike Carlo, Illinois State ‘13, led the expansion on campus and recruited 31 men. On April 1, 2017, 28 men were initiated into Alpha Sigma Phi and became Founding Fathers of the Iota Alpha Provisional Chapter. Nick Fequiere, CSU-Bakersfield ‘17, served as the founding President from the installation through August of 2018.

Iota Alpha closed in spring 2022 after failing to meet obligations to the Fraternity.
