HISTORY
In the 2009 fall semester, Director of Expansion and Growth Matt Humberger, Bowling Green ‘03, launched the initial expansion effort at Oakland University. Twenty-four members were recruited and participated in the Pledge Ceremony. The group struggled to recruit new members and a division occurred between the leadership of the Colony and its members and all but five members left the group.

With the five members unable to build momentum, Fraternity Staff member Jason H. Nolen-Doerr, Murray State ‘05, visited campus to reinvigorate the group. Moderate success was had and the group conducted its first Initiation Ceremony on April 30, 2012.

On January 15, 2015, the group officially chartered. The Ceremony was held at the Oakland Center. Grand Councilor Bryan Proctor, Grand Valley ‘96, gave the Keynote Address and presented the group with their charter. Scott Woodfill, Grand Valley ‘08, represented Fraternity Staff. Andrew Makar, Central Michigan ‘93, gave the Alumni Address. Sam Harris, Wayne State ‘12 and Oakland ‘13, was the Founding President.
